This template was created not only by using border techniques so you get a 3D effect, but it also has an animated navigation panel. The animation was created by using an animated gif as background. Just hover over the navigation to see the effect. You may use this template and it's code freely under the provisions layed out by the licence agreement that you can find in the footer. However, i would appreciate a link.
The idea was inspired by my friend Gordon.

IE6 and Opera 7.X work as intended. It seems that both Mozilla (1.7) and Fireworks (0.9.1) download the animated gif and run the animation once on page load. Apparently it is a regression bug because it worked in Mozilla 1.6. It was a Mozilla problem, was patched, and is now a problem again. Other than some sort of JavaScript workaround, there may not be a solution until Mozilla gets around to fixing it again. Here is a link to the bugzilla report.
It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. One of my favorite quotes comes from Alfred D Souza. He said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."
